Product Description
Chains are used extensively throughout the towing industry. The many varied applications require different configurations as well as different chemistries. There are many types and grades of chain available for industrial use.
Most commonly found in the towing industry are:
- Grade 70 Transport
- Grade 80 Alloy
- Grade 100 Alloy
Weight is calculated per foot.
The ultimate strength as well as the working load limit for each grade increases respectfully from Grade 70 through grade 100. Federal and many state regulations dictate the proper use and selection of chains.
With these regulations in mind, we offer our chain in numerous grades, however our Towing chain assemblies are all grade 70 and our Recovery chain assemblies are all grade 80 and grade 100. Please find below a synopsis of chain grades, properties and the part number for ordering it in bulk.
Grade 70 Transport Chain is boron manganese steel that makes this chain exceptionally hard. Used in medium to heavy duty tow assemblies. Yelllow dicromate finish
